The supplements Viome recommends are often available at a retailer of your choice. Otherwise, you can find and purchase them online. Viome does not sell these supplements directly, nor do we have business relationships with the brands recommended. The supplements recommended are chosen based solely on the combination of ingredients and their quality.

Occasionally, supplements may be unavailable based on your location, or for another reason. In these cases, you should take the following steps:


  • Visit the supplement manufacturer or supplier's website.
  • Search for the supplement you want, and look for the ingredient list
  • Write down or print the ingredient list
  • Take the list with you to a local supplement retailer whom you trust
  • Ask them to recommend a product of equal quality

Are these supplements free from dairy, gluten, lactose, and animal products?

The recommended supplement contains a food that's on my minimize or avoid list. Should I still take it?


This can be a common occurrence because many supplements are carried in oils or contain small amounts of other foods that may be on your minimize or avoid list. Generally, if you are taking the recommended dosage, the amount in the supplements will not have a significant impact on your microbiome and you can still take the supplement. However, if you notice any adverse reaction from the supplement, you can discontinue use and look for an alternative by following the steps mentioned previously.
